IM or no? What pool. That is amazing.

No IM. Top division team.

Best to not answer the direct question as to which pool. 🤫

D1-3 is usually what people consider a top division, sometime D4 is in the mix, so this poster could mean any of 18-24 teams. My money’s on Overlee, OKM, or Crosspointe.

That’s why I was joking. Why on earth not say the team name? And why the need to add “top division” to the post at all?

To flex.

Started at 9, went to 12:15ish with no IM. We pre seeded the heats so most of the DQs and rough swims were contained to a few heats.

I don’t think it was a flex. The biggest teams are in the top divisions. It just emphasized the size without sharing the team name, maybe because it seems braggy.

OKM went super fast, just over 2 hours. Not sure how many swimmers attended, but we usually have about 200 swimmers total maybe? Our meets are always quite fast. All credit to our officials, our starter, our referee, and all the different team reps through the years, in addition to our coaching staff and the many many parents it takes to run a meet. The junior and asst coaches run their tails off through the meet, and our clerks of course are rockstars. The chief timers train up newbies so quickly, and they are.on.it.

It was weird. The questions were:

IM or no? What pool?

The answer was: No IM. (responsive!) “Top division team.”

Also braggy. Top div isn’t run better than other teams and typically a team or two bounces in and out of Div 1 annually. Doesn’t make them smaller or worse run!

What's the point of doing IM at time trials? Seems like a waste of time. We don't swim them in A meets. If kids want a time, they can do a B meet.

I think it is great and helps to see IM carnival.

Our team is huge so we don’t even offer IMs at B-meets until later in the season (usually at the expense of fly). It’s nice for the kids to swim IM before 9:30pm at least once before IM Invitational and Divisionals.

Agree with this. We only started offering it a few years ago and it has been great. Best part the stroke and turn can actually see them.

One year at divisionals we had all these IMs DQs. We are pretty high up so you would not expect that. But a number of B meets got rained out. So no opportunities.
