I was there for the end of Fametracker and sort of unintentionally killed the new moms forum on there.

We've gone on group trips, gotten each other jobs, saved one from addiction, physically rescued one from domestic violence, pooled together money for each other at various times, some became roommates and bridesmaids, Ive been to 2 of their weddings.

How many forum platforms did you migrate through?

Is the mod a saint? How did it survive?

I'm actually one of the mods lol. We've rotated mods throughout the years. We dont need much moderation now that we are all grown adults abd have wittled down to around 50 of us. Its a closed forum so we dont get randoms or trolls. In our HS and college years the mods were saints for sure

This is amazing! I've always loved forums, but they're a dying breed these days. This, and FlyerTalk are the only ones left that are still active. Otherwise, it's just reddit now, and Facebook groups. I miss old skool forums like this one.

I'm the guy that tricked the mod Vanessa into giving me access to Flora's account. Then I published all of her horrific and defamtory messgaes about others. She threatened to sue LP and that was that.

Oh Hi Jenna! That group is gross. promoting and recommending businesses that pay a fee to be promoted. There are also some real crazies in there. Left a long time ago.

Currently an expat living in Europe (return to DMV next year) and I like mumsnet (UK based). It can be snarky and judgey like DCUM but I think the fact that you need a username makes people a bit more accountable for their posts, so the trolling doesn't seem as extreme to me as on here. And I find it a bit better for travel advice because people don't automatically judge you for asking a question about Europe travel with young-ish kids.
