Thompson was Reid’s first Hs principal hire in FCPS. She did everything she could to cover for him until it become too public and she was forced to deal with it. She is just as guilty. Thompson is a bad person. Hopefully Hayfield can recover soon, but needs to run out all the Thompson/Overton people.

Moving failures to central office (aka: Gatehouse) is standard operating procedure in FCPS. Classroom Teachers who know about it are reportedly incensed by it.

In FCPS, the principal has final oversight of the financial transactions. This wasn’t just one error. Either he was completely incompetent or he was complicit in the embezzlement of $40K that occurred under his watch. Pick one.

As of last week it was reported Darin Thompson’s FCPS went dark, and he was escorted out of Gatehouse as a final farewell to the beleaguered former Hayfield football scandal principal. He is no longer an FCPS employee…it seems the Chicago law firm investigation & recently revelations were enough for Michele Reid to dispose of him, and his antics…according to FCPS legal counsel.

Good riddance!

Arrested and being walked out by your employer are two very different things. What is your source for the arrest? Did you see him being led out and mistake FCPS Security for Fairfax County police?
