(Sorry to go into this on Mendo post, but I want to know how DCPS could be better.)

This. I've worked in other districts and I've always been evaluated. However, none were anything similar to Impact. Less stress and actually more accountability because the evaluations weren't so subjective.

Were the kids engaged?
Were the standards and objectives for the lesson clear?
Overall environment of the classroom.

That's it. The checklist was in your mailbox the next day. This is multiple schools over multiple districts in the north and the south. No bellyaching, no pre and post meetings (unless they were necessary because a teacher needed assistance).

Teachers do not want iReady or IMPACT. Every signature counts!

I understand some may not think teachers have a ‘right’ to help decide our evaluation but we are simply asking for a voice. We still want accountability but IMPACT does not help teachers grow. We are also wasting money on bonuses and lining the pockets of those invested in IMPACT.

Please read for my information and you can decide for yourself if you’d like to sign and support teachers.

You speak for all teachers?

Who appointed you?
