I’ve been seeing stories on IG that the tick count is already at a record number for the region, but ticks inside an urban area is pretty rare.
So if they are in the middle of urban Georgetown, they must be swarming places like RCP, Great Falls, the woods around upper NW DC, etc
DC has a lot of trees and tall grass. Were you sitting on the grass or ground? I always wonder if they can drop from trees etc...? I never ever go in the woods or tall grass. My child got Lyme from a back yard. Woods and tall grass needs to be mowed and sprayed with non toxic sprays.
