If bringing home cookies for the kids, one kid is going to be pretty annoyed if they get the tiny cookie everyone else gets a large one. Definitely ask for the ones you want next time. |
| I’m particular. I just politely say, may I have [ describe whichever cookie/roast/whatever] and then thank them. It’s easier to do before they start picking things up. |

Next time you have to be preemptive and say “can I have the two sugar cookies and these two [point at the big ones] chocolate chip cookies?”
I would’ve asked and made some joke about how my four kids would argue if everyone didn’t get the same size cookie. (I do not have four children.) |
| Nothing wrong with pointing to the one you want and saying "Can I please have that one?" If it were my bakery I'd have given you the two big ones and then sold the two small ones at half price. |
