This annoying seller wants a bidding war.

You’re on a main road, have a house with a frustrating layout and needing a lot of updating, and still think people should fight over your house - please have you bid by… 🙄 You’re a snob.

The house is on a side street and not on a major thoroughfare. Jackson Street is famous for the halloween and christmas displays. If you buy on this street you would need to invest in going all out for the Halloween decorations.

Ok I was going to put in an offer but now I’m not. This forced participation and secret judging sounds awful.

What “secret judging” are you imagining?

I almost wonder if this is stealth marketing for this house, not that it's going to need it.

Why should the seller get the market rate?

The attic sink is definitely an interesting feature. The powder room on the main level makes an airplane lavatory seem spacious.

I’ve been on the market for 8 months. It’s beyond frustrating trying to find a place to buy these days if your not in the million dollar bracket

Just stop.

When we were looking for a house in 2009, we looked for more than a year. And people on DCUM were all complaining about being priced out!

In this area, OP, it's ALWAYS like this. It would be worse if you were in San Francisco.

The owners included the word "respectfully" and you're still criticizing them. This is the state of the world, deal with it.

Sorry you’re bitter you can’t afford the house. I’d love a yacht and private jet, but here we are.

Oh good find I know what that is - the attic that’s the boy’s bedroom in a big family! You can see they did some cool built-ins and it looks like the beds get pushed under them during the day.

Boo hoo. Plenty of cheap houses in Anacostia. Lots of diversity and rich with history.

Or look for houses zoned for Falls Church HS, Justice HS, and other schools that the DCUM crowd can't tolerate.

Looks like the attic in The Housemaid.

Your post is so rude. Do you understand that people have life circumstances you may know nothing about? They may need to sell quickly. Don't try to dox sellers like that online unless they truly do something shady.

If anything they're actually just amplifying the listing and drumming up interest hence the post earlier about something seeming off about this entirely.

That's a great flat backyard and such a fun neighborhood. It's where I spent my first seven years. Also it's not near a major road.

I don't think you know what the word "snob" means.

You are jealous.

And entitled. I'm sensing entitlement as well.
