+1. Consistency is key. It doesn’t sound like OP has given much of anything a chance. |

Do a full work-up with a holistic doctor. Regular doctors dismissed my concerns as "it's just aging!". My holistic doc got me on HRT + supplements.
Other than that, here's what I do: - Healthy diet, I find I need high protein + high fat - Workout every day - No alcohol, caffeine, no late nights never and in bed by 8:30pm, no screens in the evening (messes up sleep) - Botox every 12 weeks, make sure they do the lower face, NOT just the forehead/eyes (it is very difficult to find an injector to understands how to shape the face with Botox rather than just freeze everything but well worth it) - See an EXPERT for fillers, NOT your regular Botox injector. Filler is extremely easy to mess up, worth the money to see one of the top injectors. - Figure out what makeup looks best on you. Get lash extensions, brow tinting, lip blushing, etc. - work with a voice coach (I did this for my deeper voice, worked wonders) - Just started Rogaine - Currently saving up for a facelift, rhinoplasty, and a tummy tuck. Again, don't see any random surgeon, find the best of the best. Tummy tucks are especially tricky because most surgeons don't actually 'shape' the waist because it takes much longer, they just remove the skin. You want someone to shape it. I still look my age, but a much better version of it. I get complimented regularly on how good I look and often date men 10 years younger than me. |

I did sculptra after I was done losing the weight I gained in Peri (thank you GLP1) and the sculptra plus some lasers and botox have done wonders for my face without making me look "fake". I still look like I'm in my 50s which is fine with me. I just look like a well-rested woman in her 50s.
I've started putting Rogaine on my brows which is helping fill them back in (Peri and hyopthyroid took them from me). I looked into what season I am and switched up my makeup after realizing I'm a Spring not a Winter. I've gotten **countless** compliments since I started wearing the right clothing colors and redoing my make up. Like the PP above I eat high protein, high fat which makes me happy (fat makes me happy) and keeps me full. I get a lot of sleep (still tired a fair bit). I do drink....prob more than I should but I'm constantly active (golf, pickleball, tennis, skiing, hiking, walking, swimming) and all of those activities makes me happy. I'm trying to cut down on socializing (which will also prob reduce how much I drink) because people exhaust me more than they used to. Other than these things: I try and remember the 3 friends who I lost this year (all under age 60). They would have done anything to still be here. |
Recs on the Filler and Botox Expert ???? |
| Ive just given up. |
In simple terms how do we know if we're spring or winter? |
I would like to know this as well as who you’d recommend for tummy tucks. I agree it’s about shaping versus just skin removal. |

One of my dearest friends is about to die of metastatic breast cancer before she turns 53.
Aging is a privilege. I “cope with it” by knowing that. |
I am very sorry about your friend. We all have to live in the box we're in. We can be glad we're not dying and also have struggles and challenges with the aging process. |
Don’t conflate beauty and functionality. |
It has to do with your undertone etc. I found a lady on Instagram who looked at pics of me in a variety of difft colored tops and then gave me her assessment |

Are you wearing makeup? If not you need to start. We lose color and contrast in our face as we age. Light makeup helps sooooo much. A medium coverage liquid foundation plus blush and bronzer/contour, and filling in your brows, will be so helpful.
Before doing any of the “higher commitment” plastic surgeries, have you tried just regular old Botox and facial fillers? |
I'm going to be using this. My mom always said "we all have our own pile of sh$t" - but "your own box" is so much better! My personal box was dealing with a serious cancer and recovery at 45. Ten years out now and I'm finally ready to focus on the "superficial" things about my face and body. And regretting a bit that I haven't started earlier. Any way OP, don't let time just pass you by. |
Is there a face tanner that does anything close to this? |
Can you share the name of the holistic doctor and your Botox injector? |
