Private school for elementary-level kid who just likes to do math?

This is one of the reasons why we switched to private last year. And now after the MCPS presentation, lots of our public school friends who thought we were crazy are asking me for info on our private school search because they are thinking about bailing.

You take them out if that school, and allow them to learn. Homeschooling seems like one obvious option. Another possibility is to do math at home and accept "screen math" during school, especially if the school accept EMF math/AoPS/mathacademy as an independent study to be done on the screen during math class.

Also look at Epsilon Camp, or when they're a little older, mathpath and math in the mountains.

Use the Beast Academy/AoPS books for your math curriculum.

OP, did you try offering to send enrichment work with your DC to math class? How did that go? If the teacher agrees, you could get the beast academy books, have her read the guides at home, then work on the practice books during class.

Another option is to try to locate somewhere with appropriate academics. I know LA has two elementary schools for highly gifted students: Eagle Rock and San Jose

It requires 99.9th percentile scores for a guaranteed spot and 99.5th percentile scores to get on the lottery/waiting list IIRC
