Massive Canvas hack affecting college finals

I'm currently in the room with someone who works for a company that integrates with Canvas and he is STRESSING

The hackers were booted out of the system after they started the breach on May 1st, and they came back today. They started in a North Carolina school district, and when that was successful, they went nationwide.

Worldwide 9,000 learning institutions and 275 Millions users of Canvas affected. Canvas systems at Harvard, WashU and other universities down around 4pm ET today.

Rumor is it will take days if not more than a week to fix this. Not sure what you do with college exams?

For schools that end imminently it’s not like you can extend it right? I think you just have to cancel it and then your grade is based on everything else?

Nothing wrong with old school paper and pencil blue book exams.
