Sojourner Truth PCS

That’s exactly what I have heard. So, if we potentially entered Murch via lottery we had the right to feed into Deal, but because we lived in boundary and then moved we automatically lost it.

I can see the argument for this, but it’s a fairly confusing policy. I could see lots of people caught up in it not realizing, say, that they need to lottery for middle school (if they don’t want their IB thinking they have feeder), and missing out.

I thought the same thing for a long time, but then around December 2025 I received email from DCPS that we don’t have the right to attend Deal, so luckily I didn’t enter the lottery, however we didn’t get any good numbers for any of the schools we were hoping for. And so here we are hoping Truth is a decent school and better option than Wells.

There are definitely a contingent of folks going to Truth from the NE area, many from Lee, who like it. I don't know if they frequent DCUM. Perhaps post to the Brookland kids Facebook group or similar, instead. Many like it as an option for different learners (of various types) and small school vibe, is what they have told me.

That’s a great idea! I posted it and see if I can get any more information.
