If your kid goes to more than one prom, do they wear more than one dress or suit?

I might be willing to get 2 dresses if they’re inexpensive ones to start. So it depends on the price point.

My daughter went to two proms junior and senior year. Hers each year and different boys' (so 3 groups if you will).

Junior year we bought two dresses, one was very inexpensive.
Senior year she repeated the fancier dress, but bought a new second dress. The new dress was for her prom, so she never repeated with her school group.

Lots of girls swapped and borrowed dresses.

She wore the same pair of dress shoes for every homecoming and prom and always did her own hair and makeup, so I didn't really mind the extra dress. She has also worn two of the dresses again at college events.

This. I'm fine with one dress at a lower cost, then two (limited) sets of accessories.

My DD and her bf wore different attire to each other's prom. DD was injured junior year and couldn't attend, so she wore her junior year dress to one prom and we brought another one. Her bf's parents bought him a new tux.

I went to an all girls school who also attended prom at an all boys school. Two proms junior and senior year.

We all swapped dresses. So bought one dress for each year, and swapped dresses with friends for the second dance of the year.
