Surprise to see BU ranks so high !! |
These are all terrific schools, so this isn't terribly surprising they'd be the top 30 most employable in the US. |
|
Why is Northeastern in the top 30? I need to see the next 20 schools lol.
|
Maybe it does a good job preparing its graduates for the working world? |
Ever heard of their extensive co-op programs? |
wow...I heard about the notorious anti-Northeastern troll. Quite the difference in seeing it in the wild, though. |
Something is off with their methodology this year which has produced wild swings in the rankings. For example, if you click this link (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/student/best-universities/graduate-employability-top-universities-united-states-ranked-employers), you can see their rank last year and .... NYU is ranked 10 this year, but was ranked 25 last year. BU is ranked 13 this year, but was ranked 34 last year. Michigan is 26, but was 145 last year. Northwestern is 22 but was 124 last year. Northeastern is now 26, but was ranked down at 146 last year. UCSD is 30 this year, but was 173 last year. Vanderbilt is 42, but was 203 last year. What changed in only 1 year??? |
Yes but they had it last year too, and it was ranked at 146 by this same exact employability ranking last year. What changed in 1 year? These rankings seem weird. |
You’re comparing this year’s U.S. ranking with last year’s global ranking. Please check the 2026 global ranking against the 2025 global ranking. Then it’s not as dramatic. |
| Does someone understand what goes into the “research environment” subscore? |
Isn't that a common sense? CS/Tech graduates are way more employable than history, communications, etc. majors. What did you expect?? |
146 to 112 in the world doesn't seem weird at all? You are weird. |
No - UVA clearly not at such an elite level. Get real. |
Northeastern is known to produce excellent outcomes. Are you living in some sort of an alternate universe? |
That is the world ranking. |
