I'd argue its been in a slow but steady decline since the early 2000's. The last renovation and addition of the luxury shopping & restaurant wing was spectacularly timed with the global financial crisis. It has surprised me Nordstrom has hung in as long as they have.

I’ve agree it’s been a long decline, but there has been a rapid increase in decline recently with many long term stores leaving.

Its like the decline hit critical mass & a bunch of leases came up for renewal at the same time. Its not just them; the newer development across the street is totally empty except for the Cinemark. Towson Commons is closing in on 30 years of being a dead mall.

It’s two different places between weekdays and evenings/weekends. Every time I went over the last year there has been police activity on site, I assume mostly shoplifting but there has also been fights among teens and some theft in the parking garage. I honestly don’t understand why local government can figure out a way to make Towson hospitable to all — it half empty buildings.

I wouldn’t bring my kids into that mall for safety reasons. You do you.

Ok, this is hilarious.

Do you say the same thing about the police reports? Frequent thefts and assaults.

How sad. I used to go there as a teenager with friends. Why are kids poorly behaved now?
