There is nothing to clarify. You people are just dense…..the SUBJECT line clearly says University of San Diego…what is so hard to understand?

Don’t be rude, I get it. Before I moved to CA I never thought once about the difference between UCSD, SDSU, or USD. In the east coast, these were considered very regional schools and many people just lump them together. Californians haven’t heard of half the SLACs in the east coast and Midwest that are constantly talked about on DCUM.

SDSU is the party school. Kids who want to party but go to either UCSD or USD and know kids or possibly many that don’t go over to those parties. Neither UCSD or USD have a party scene. UCSD is known as UC socially dead. USD attracts a lot of wealthy mid level GPA (Bs) students who can’t get into USC or top schools. USD is very white for a CA school. SDSU attracts a lot of mid level GPA white and hispanic students from the local area and high stat kids from other instate areas that get shut out of UCs. UCSD is mostly high stat Asians and low stat Hispanics.

The request for clarification was because the description from OP matched a different school than in the subject line. Now that it is confirmed, many of us would like to hear first hand experiences about University of San Diego which gets mentioned much less on DCUM then other schools.

Do you know why they transferred?

Same here. A lot seem to use it for first year then transfer out/up. The two I knew left for USC.

The retention rate after freshman year is reported as 92%.

Right. They are two separate schools and open clearly stated the one in question.

If you can't follow the question you have nothing to contribute.
