What were they laughing about?

At the idea that 6 and 7 years old boys would be afraid to speak out due to power imbalances. The lawyer claimed they were too young to even understand the power differential and would have spoken out if they were uncomfortable. It was completely absurd. George responded with, “but little boys can be scared.” The lawyer is disgusting.

I noticed they disabled the comments for this one over at People.com

I am on the fence on this case.

But Melissa seems 1000% convinced of her husband’s innocence.
Hopefully time will tell & the truth will be revealed.

My question though is this - - how did Melissa Gilbert go from Rob Lowe to Timothy Busfirld…..?????!!!

Busfield.

Rob Lowe had a sex tape. I think with a teenager (I am not googling that). He was no choir boy

That is disturbing. We all are aware of the scandals of various churches and abuses of little boys generally. I can’t imagine what the lawyer was thinking.

This is what the lawyer said:

“A 6 or 7 year old boy is not going to not report something they’re uncomfortable about because of the power of a director.”

What a ridiculous and offensive claim. You could see it in Melissa’s face too right after he said it. They need a new lawyer STAT.

Oh and he laughed as he was saying that. What a scumbag.

She has had long term personality issues and her own chaotic life for a long time but she was also likeable and engaging so I think she could balance her longterm issues and poor judgment with that affability which was a real strength. Now....not so much. She probably has her own abuse/trauma history ( she was adopted and a child star during a much less evolved time so in that exquisite, sad and unconscious way she may have been drawn to a very ill man. Like Winona Judd with her two ex spouses...it's messy and very dark i think

I think she can be quite manipulative and he is other level repulsive

Yea she's not looking like the sharpest person right now...poor counsel and probably reeling emotionally. Unwise to go on TV but the pressure to respond must have felt overwhelming and she could not contain herself

I’m a little surprised because I knew people that knew her during her time at SAG and thought she was really sharp and good at that stuff. I wonder if she’s starting to decline. Sometimes people lose that EQ first.
