I'd vote Derek.

This is just wrong. Derek is the only correct spelling. |
| DH is a Derek. 95% of people default to the Derek spelling; the other 5% do Dereck or Derrick. He has never been Rick. One or two friends called him "Wreck" or "D-wreck" but mostly they just use his name or his last name. Have never seen Derrek. |
| Derrick is my favorite. |

I think Derek is a nice name, and this is the best spelling.
I know one whose friends nicknamed him "Dirk." That's unfortunate, but we can't really control nicknames. |
| Derek is the correct spelling. |
| Derek but it’s pretty terrible. |
| Derek |
| J - O - H - N |
Don’t lead OP astray with that dull name. John is the name equivalent of the color beige. |
| Derek. Love the name! |
| There's also Derick. I know one. |
Derek |
I think we’re talking about an unborn baby. “Online” may not exist how it does in 40 years when he’s your age. |
+ 100 There are 1000s of names! And about 25 of them fit the same description. So Unless it’s a family name or some other reason you lost the bet, Please don’t name your kid John in 2026. |
