NP. The Seldom Scene did a great cover of that, but it's not a kid's song. See also their great Old Train and their cover of City of New Orleans. But again, not kids' songs.

Many songs are toned down/rewritten for kids. I got the suggestion from ai, fwiw. Not a train girl, sadly.

Do you remember where in New England?

David Grover was a Massachusetts children’s musician who would play at events like craft fairs - I think he was more western Mass/southern VT. Might not be him but if you can remember the general area it might help narrow down the specific musician
