| Yes, you should look elsewhere. Tbh DC is so transient that your friend will probably start leaving soon anyway (grad school, marriage, kids, etc). Look at the plus side - you will always have people in interesting places to visit! |

| If you follow the jobs reports, from BLS to ADP, nationally, jobs are in the toilet. The US is literally hemorrhaging jobs. It is bad everywhere, minus healthcare industry. |

| At 29 (if you at all are considering future marriage/kid) I'd do a quick search for best cities to find single men or single women (dependng on what you're looking for) and best cities to find a job now and let that help guide you. Exciting things await. |
