Same exact timeline for me |
| why is OP's taking this long then? Has anyone else experiencing this too? |
I replied earlier in the thread. Still waiting. Per IRS website, status is stuck at "Your return has been received and is currently being processed.". I received the VA state refund over a week ago. Same thing happened federally last year. We filed earlier this year because I had assumed the delay last year was due to heavy volume near the April deadline. The refund did not come until late May. Perhaps it has to do more with the refund amount. In both cases, we were expecting near 7k. |
| We filed 8 days ago and haven't received ours yet. |
This happened to me too. They sent a letter to buy more time about “needing to review stuff.” I got my rep involved (Don Beyer’s constituent services team is amazing) and they solved it very quickly via the IRS advocates they have access to. |
| This is why I want to stay in Beyer's district. Known for excelling in constituent services. |
No, I got mine last month within about a week of filing. |
| I never get refunds. I always make sure I owe some tax while meeting the Safe Harbor Rule minimums. I just completing my returns and the taxes I owe will be debit from my account on April 15th. |
Op here. This exactly what happened with me this year. received VA state refund already but no change on the IRS tracking site for my refund being approved. I am glad to hear that I am not the only one and May is so far. Yikes. |
Blah blah blah. Here’s your sticker. |
| Maybe it's not a straight forward case. Some people's cases are a bit complicated. |
| I don't even know if they see all the details before approving the refund. Audit and checks happen later. They can't check millions of returns within 3 weeks to issue refund. |
| I filed the last week of February and I got my federal refund in about a week. The VA refund showed up yesterday. |
| My accountant efiled mine on February 16, no refund yet. My state refund appeared yesterday. |
| Op here. I got a letter from IRS that they want to verify my ID and may be that's the reason it is still delayed. Logging in at IRS.gov is through ID.me these days. |
