when we toured they put the stats up on the slide for all to see. ED 1 is like 20%. RD is maybe 5%. I dont remember, but they said ED if you can afford it. Nobody else said if you can afford it.

ED2 acceptance rates were well below 10% this year, and 50% of ED2 acceptances were FGLI, regional diversity, and other institutional priorities.

ED1 seems to be the path for the unhooked.

This is likely because they care a lot about rankings and want to boost % of students on Pell grants.

There is an official way to outreach to development as a prospective family. Do that.

Pp said ED1, not both ED rounds combined.

Know an asian male from public for music, lots of awards for music, but definitely no hook and not super wealthy. Was not top 10% either, just the music piece.

This was literally the same as a UPenn admit, but asian girl.

Music with awards always works. Esp Vanderbilt, Northwestern and now Duke.

Everyone wants kids who aren't econ and stem bots. If you are musical you stand out.

In previous years, the profile of admitted students was very similar: not at the top of class academically, decent test scores (average:1450). Predominantly white rich kids.
