The Democrats already had the House. Republicans barely lost the Senate in 2021. Then, in the 2022 election, Republicans regained control of the House after you all went for the 2nd impeachment. Republicans took both houses in Jan 2025.

The unpopular and unfit former POTUS who recently gave the GOP control of Congress is no longer politically relevant. The current unfit and unpopular POTUS is in the process of giving Dems control of Congress and that loser is very much so still politically relevant as a liability to GOP politicians running in swing districts through 2028.

The impeachment talk is silly. Dems have no reason to waste time and political capital trying to impeach a GOP president who is setting them up for significant Congressional seat gains over the next few years.

There is no vehicle to do so. If Trump tried an illegal EO, blue states would still hold their elections and therefore have the only eligible Congressional members in January.
