Highly recommend the EPIC museum in Dublin, down by the dockland area. The museum is about the Irish Emigration experience and so well done!

| If I was going to Ireland for only 5 days, I would spend 0 of them in Dublin. Thats my recommendation. Go to Galway and Sligo. |

If you are just doing Dublin, I would stay in a hotel on St. Stephen's Green. You can walk to everything you want to see from there, and the concierges at those hotels can hook you up with any day trips and recommendations you might want.
The Fitzwilliam is just off Grafton Street. The Shelborne is lovely. The Merrion is nearby and very fancy. |
| Stay at the Westbury. You will not regret it. |

Restaurants we liked:
Sole Rosa Madre Hawksmoor The Pig's Ear No 29 at the Shelbourne (lobby flowers are always stunning) |

I stayed 3 nights at the Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane in late 2024.
4 star hotel, close by the river and many museums, breakfast included. Reasonably priced. |

| The Shelbourne is beautiful - and a great location. Agree with others - in that price range, stay on the south side of the city. Lots of great food options - really depends on your taste and price point. |

We were in Dublin in January. LOVED the College Green hotel. It is a Marriott property. Accommodations were quite comfortable. Breakfast was delicious (lattes were phenomenal) and bar in basement was very nice. People working there were super nice. Perfect location.
Second recommendation for Killmainham Gaol. Favorite part of trip. If you go to Guinness (great view of the city), add the extra tasting paddle in the next door experimental bar- well worth it and the food was good as well! Also- The Brazen Head, Irelands oldest pub, Est. 1198 Have a great trip! |
