This is an absurd thing to be posting about. Genuinely. Absurd.

OP is the idiot. And so obviously really hates Taylor that she has lost all credibility

Janis lost all credibility at least 15 years ago. Her tirades got her banned from Churchill when her son was a student there. Source: I worked there at the time.

Let me guess, you have no issue spending taxpayer money without accountability and you don't care that teachers and students are going without what they need.

Stop with the fake outrage.

It’s not fake outrage when some of our kids, teachers and schools go without basic needs.

You can be outraged at that (possible) fact. But you can't be outraged by the decision to purchase mugs. There is a difference.

EX:
"I am outraged that a ceiling tile fell on my child's head"- justified
"I am outraged that the shchool district purchased mugs"- not justified.

Now explain. Why isn't money spent on gifts important when teachers are begging for classroom supplies and help?

Who did these mugs go to?

Do you genuinely believe posting here will make any difference? Why not spend your energy more productively?

They could have spent the money to fix the ceiling tiles vs mugs. See how that works.

We are here for entertainment and you lady are pathetic… not informative nor entertaining

I generally like MCPS, but I appreciate that OP keeps us up to date with the little and large nonsense that MCPS gets up to.

So thank you, OP.

I've been in MCPS for over twenty years and I think morale is actually worse now than under any other superintendent. The cheesy videos, fluffy awards, and critical staffing cuts are just too much. I've never seen so much backpedaling with decisions coming out of central office. I had very high hopes for Dr. Taylor but I've been pretty disappointed this year.

This is like noticing that the EPA is failing to invest enough in clean water and therefore they shouldn't be buying pens for the Social Security offices.

It also evidences to understanding of budgeting and finance.

Capital expenses are not the same as operating expenses.
