2013 SYC player behavior

U13 girls getting called b****s frequently and yes I hate it.

Not specific to whatever incident is listed above, but why are we condoning and 13 year olds (or kids of any age) behaving that way under the guise that it is just how sports are?

My daughter is U14 and this has been happening for a couple of years now. The girls do it when there’s no ref nearby so they don’t get in trouble. It’s not specific to SYC (and I say this not liking the club.)

Because it happens so frequently and across every SYC team we have ever played (I have 3 DDs different ages, been at this 10 years), I would be surprised honestly if SYC doesn’t affirmatively coach girls to push, shove, and cleat the other team on the field and to call the other team Bs and Cs during play. Whenever one of my DDs has to play SYC we bring our young DS to the game because of the language on the field and from the SYC parents. My DDs joke that they need not only shin guards but entire body armor and they tell their friends at school that they have a rugby match this weekend. SYC seems to pride itself on having trashy parents because this has been going on for a while, everyone sees it and knows about it, and nobody (Estie? Laura?) reels it in.

Honestly find this interesting, because I've only experienced this on the boys' side (specifically in the OP's age group).

I agree with PP that SYC is awful and would add, for the race-baiters, that this has not been my experience with other clubs that serve predominantly Hispanic populations (assuming this is the meaning of the ICE reference). It seems unique to SYC, seems to have nothing to do with race or dog whistling.

The comments on here are dog whistles, actions can't be dog whistles. Go check out a book at the public librar; BHM just ended they may still be featuring some that can define what a dog whistle is for many of your. It has nothng do to with dogs for reference.
