I am the OP and watched the pilot last night. For me, it hit! I need to find subtitles b/c missed some quips but appreciate the rec!


Glad you liked it! I recommended it on this thread but I haven't recommended it before. I did find it here, so I think there are a lot of fans in this small corner of the Internet.

For what it's worth, it took me a bit to get into it but grew into a favorite. It gets even better after the first season and seemed to match op's stated taste.

a lot of us recommend Offspring and one of our all time favorite series. I got the rec from here early in covid days. I haven't seen it on my streaming services recently but I'll rewatch when it pops up again. BTW, season one was my least favorite.
