Why would you say that antisemitism here is astounding?
I have not come across this. The press is very friendly to Israel and reports of the suffering of Palestinian civilians is always noted in light of the conflict.
There is no religious discrimination

A person of Lebanese descent in Michigan just attempted to kill preschoolers at Jewish synagogue nursery school two days ago. Where I’m from, we call that anti-Semitism.

Spillover from the Israel-Hezbollah conflict.

A targeted attack against Jewish people - and I should remind you that we’re talking about Jewish toddlers in this case - is antisemitism regardless of however you try to rationalize it.

Kind of like rationalizing bombing hospitals and daycares in Palestine.

What a dumb response.

1) Palestine isn’t a place
2) Toddlers in a Michigan preschool didn’t bomb anywhere in the Middle East, nor did their parents or even their country.
3) I don’t believe any daycares in the Middle East were targeted

This is exactly what antisemitism has evolved into. You are some wokist who thinks they understand the conflict in the Middle East, and then you take out your token anti Israelism on American Jewish toddlers in the US. Moronic.

I think there’s lots of antisemitism but I didn’t think October 7 was that big of a deal. I get that it was bad but so many bad things like that happen all the time all over the world and don’t get a fraction of the attention that Oct 7 got.

Yes and wars happen all the time in the world and countries don’t get blamed as badly as Israel did for retaliating after 10/7. I dislike Netanyahu and everything going on in the Middle East, but after 10/7, Israel was justified in its actions against Hamas in Gaza. Except the world reacted like Hamas was the victim. That’s rooted in antisemitism.

Israel is the aggressor and the suffering of Palestinians is deplorable.
Gaza has been turned into Buchenwald and to talk about it is anti this and that

Israel wasn’t the aggressor in the Gaza war. Hamas could have not brutally attacked Israeli civilians, or not taken hundreds of hostages, or even released said hostages. They had a million opportunities to end the war - or better yet - not start it, and they didn’t. Hamas could have surrendered at any point but they love dead gazans and playing the victim card. Chumps like you fall for it every time.

I don’t like Netanyahu, but anyone who sympathizes with Hamas in this situation is an idiot.

His whole family was murdered by Israel, he died, nobody else did

lol so you excuse his terrorism attempt because he was killed? What a martyr. Hopefully he meets his 10,000 virgins in the after life or whatever perverted extremism they believe.

I can sympathize with anyone losing their family in a conflict. The Middle East is insane. But your rationale is disgusting.

There was high inflation, people were not content, particularly the rural "forgotten man," Hitler promised to make Germany great again and only he alone could do it. They said immigrants were the source of their problems and tried to get them out by force. There became a mass psychosis, people were obsessively supportive with flags and signs outside their houses. It could be today. So much propaganda. Trying to censor the media.

I’ve written this before - I went to Dachau last year where there is a museum there that lays out the steps that Hitler took over time to take total power in Germany and that eventually led to him starting WWII and the Holocaust. The similarities to what Trump is doing were stunning and terrifying. I know people wince when comparisons of Trump to Hitler are made but the comparisons are very apt.

+1 We just watched Nuremberg with Russell Crowe as Göring and it’s very obvious.

Kk let's say his family were boy scouts and not literal terrorists.....so if a Nigerian American isn't too pleased about the over 50K innocent Christians killed by Boko Haram, and he's like, you know what I'm going to drive my vehicle into a mosque in the US and hopefully kill children, you'll be like, "ya know. I get it. It's cool."
