Trip abroad for first two weeks of June?

I wouldn't time it to Iran - I mean you're never going on another holiday then! It's gonna be one thing or another with Trump!

Japan is amazing but it's hot in Asia during summer. Iceland is colder - even June it's Iceland June. The European countries you listed are all tried and true I mean it's big countries depends on what you want - adventure, beach, shopping/history/culture, scenery?

Why don't you figure out a theme to focus on first OP?

I would go to Japan. Kyoto, Hakone are special. Tokyo has teamLabs

Do you think the war will be a problem in Japan?

I implore people to look at a world map from time to time.

Japan could be good. You could also consider Tanzania. But, those involve pretty lengthy flights. Have you considered Costa Rica?

You could also try New Zealand, although it'll be the winter there. But if you did that, you could stop off in Fiji which is pretty good any time of the year.

Alternatively, you could do Norway which also is great in the summer. Slovenia, too. But if that's all too exotic, Alaska is wonderful in June.

But that discounts the amazing options in SE Asia - but it will be hot and humid. You could go to Vietnam or Thailand, maybe even Bali and add on Papua New Guinea.

Have you given any thought to Point Nemo? Its a bit hard to get to but will be very memorable.

I’m decent with geography. In fact, I CAN find Iran on a map. Geography doesn’t matter. The whole world, especially for Americans, is less safe today than it was two weeks ago.

Japan and other countries may see a surge in visitors as travellers pivot. Half a million Aussies usually go to Europe in the summer. Given the uncertainty about whether their routes to Europe will be cut off, many may opt to go north instead.

Alaska will still be cold. If you’re gonna go, July 1-August 15.

How about the Azores? With 2 weeks you could hit three islands. I would stay away from Terceira bc of the US base there but you could do Sao Miguel, then choose from Faial, Pico, or Flores.

I would go to Albania.

DP.

This is DCUM. La Rambla pickpockets are a threat to aliens on a neighboring galaxy.

Soon the DCUM adverts will be advertising concrete bunkers under Bethany beach, with cells featuring projections of Costa Rica on the wall; or for the more adventurous - gasp - projections of Cartagena... "Columbia".

We did Alaska last year in early June and it was great. Bring a coat.

We did Alaska in July and brought warm clothes for Glacier Bay since we were outside for a lot of the day but also the kids swam in the heated outside plunge pool several days. It's Alaska. June will be fine.

Northern France and England can be cold and cloudy so it depends where you’re going

Greece is lovely in June

If this is your first trip abroad, I’d suggest keeping it simple and visit London + Paris, for your 2-week timeframe in early June. It would be perfect, and you have lots of options for nice easy day trips from those cities.
