Andover v. Exeter

| As a MA native with a decent read on both and a brother who went to Andover, I would pick Exeter in a heartbeat. The read I got from Andover was that it was huge and just kind of..odd, almost transcending the classic boarding school experience in not a great way. I have friends' children who go to PEA and they adore it. But really, congratulations to your daughter for getting into either! |

| Congrats - I think back in the day Exeter was stronger academically, but I think they’re equal now. People always say Andover is more well rounded, but I have a friend who attended Exeter who was in the bottom 10-20% and still loved it. Do visit days at both, though I personally would choose Andover just because it’s closer to Boston and not as much in the middle of nowhere. |
