| I’m not expecting it to be deep, but think it’s fun and I liked Steve Carrell’s character more than I thought I would. I look forward to the next episode. |
Give the second episode a try, it was really funny. |
| I laughed a lot at the second Episode, looking forward to the rest of the season. |
| So exhausted by the same fast paced unbearably witty dialogue in Rooster and Shrinking. Every character is the same |
I haven’t watched Shrinking, but Rooster and Carrell’s character felt a lot like the Four Seasons. I feel like I’m being pandered to as a GenXer. |
About effing time someone pandered to us! |
It doesn’t resonate with me, though. We’re better than this drivel. |
It felt more like later Michael Scott to me, when he'd get caught up in his own malopropisms. |
| Second episode was funny! Looking forward to more. |
The daughter is making it unwatchable for me. I hate the ridiculousness of her actions. It's so dumb. The banter between Carrell and the Dean of the school is funny but the story with the daughter is terrible. There is no chemistry between the daughter and her cheating boyfriend/spouse at all and as you pointed out, no way is that relationship going to happen. |

First episode was ponderous
The age gap between Carrell and his adult daughter is not believable. He looks 55 and she looks 40! Bad casting Fell asleep trying to watch second episode. Clearly not engaging TV. What’s up with the soundtrack? I actually love that era’s music and these classics, but none of them mesh with vibe or storyline of the show. The first episode was a big mess. |
| Last night’s episode was really funny. This is my favorite thing on TV right now. |
I didn't recognize him! I swear I have mild face blindness. |
