| I have the aarke one and while it is super heavy, I love it. no plastic and it is super easy to descale, like you just scrub everything with a scotchbrite pad and all the calcium lifts off! DC area has soft water but I moved to an area with much harder water. tempted to splurge on their carbonator whenever we can justify it. the stage kettle is good but its very small! |
OP: I tried. The filter itself is removable but it sits in a plastic holder that is attached to the teapot. I was unable to remove that....I did not want to pull too hard as I did not want to break it. |
