Homeland Terror Threat. ‘26 Worried?

One would hope that they stick to red states and trump properties. Most of us didn’t have anything to do with the illegal invasion of Iran.

DHS has more money than it has ever had before, yet it hasn't fulfilled its obligation to people in disaster recovery zones and spent ridiculous amounts of money on the Minnesota surge that was handled so badly even Trump has to give up on Noem and Bovino. Maybe Noem's friends can cough up the $220M from that ad campaign???

Trump refuses to extend standard law enforcement rules to ICE. It's HIS fault if DHS is stalled right now.

Liar.

DHS has been handsomely funded and can make the choice about where it would like to use its funds. They can be further funded by Republicans agreeing to basic reforms to guarantee the transparency of DHS actions and protections for American citizens.

Iran has known for forty years that they cannot defeat the US in a conventional war. We started bombing their cities. No doubt Iran will resort to unconventional means to hit our cities. Their stated strategy is to inflict as much pain on the US so that America never again attacks Iran. We will be living under the threat of terror for a very long time - courtesy of the Republican Party and their breathtakingly stupid decision to launch a war against Iran.

I’m concerned because people as ignorant as you are able to vote.

Too bad. My vote counts as much as yours.

Were probably going to be in for decades of terrorism after this administration.

I know, that’s how we got the worst and second worst presidents of all time. Thank god Trump is old.

Reality is that given the number of terrorists and got aways that came in under Biden, there is reason to be concerned. We will be living with his incompetence for years to come.

Hey. I didn’t vote for either Obama or Biden so don’t blame me!

Agree 100%. There is no justification for this war at this time. I fear that the media is going to keep repeating the shifting excuses offered by the administration instead of relentlessly questioning why we are doing this.

We just got out of two forever wars and we've jumped right back in instead of focusing on our problems at home. I hate Trump, but the one thing he had going for him in my view was the promise of no more foreign wars.

I think the worst part is that the public is so apathetic and increasingly ignorant that there's a real lack of understanding of what this means globally. It's almost assured that China will move against Taiwan now. We're damaging Arab alliances in the Middle East that might have been the one bright spot from the forever wars. We've lost our authority as an international power whose influence and opinion was respected - and that lack of moral authority will have long, far reaching consequences. I think we have also guaranteed some level of economic ruin - maybe mild, maybe catastrophic.

A sad end to an era of peace and American dominance. That it only took a decade to really nosedive is astonishing.

We're currently being led by a demented moron who has trouble staying awake. The next 34 months will be harrowing.

DHS could get funded if the nutjob MAGAs back off on some of their crazy demands.

But instead of looking out for domestic security they insist on being idiots.

It is pointless to worry about the inevitable. Our moronic leaders fail to understand Middle Eastern cultures. Payback will come whether it is tomorrow or ten years from now.

Below is AI generated
"Middle Eastern cultures, particularly within Arab, tribal, and traditional contexts, often operate under a "shame-based" rather than "guilt-based" framework, where maintaining honor and face is paramount. In this context, "getting even" is not always seen merely as vengeance, but often as a necessary, culturally sanctioned, and logical mechanism to restore balance, protect family reputation, or defend against perceived injustice."

This. It's going to happen. Whether a false flag or a reprisal, this opportunity to terrorize Americans and further destabilize the country will not be allowed to simply slip away. Someone, somewhere will take advantage of it.

And no amount of regular Americans saying we do not want this war seems to matter to any of our elected officials of either party. What Israel wants, Israel gets. So this war is happening, and Americans will pay for it with our dollars and our lives, whether we like it or not.
