Yes, or attending parties and getting drunk. Be glad.

Does she have some good friends? If so, I would not worry too much. Adolescence is hard.

I had those traits, a late bloomer. I am highly empathic, I can read people pretty well. I'm an HSP (highly sensitive person) attuned to body language, tone of voice. I can tell when someone is fake. I have advanced degrees. Looking back, I think I sensed many of my teen peers were doing anything to look cool. They weren't...authentic. I was authentic. I've always valued authentic people over fakes. Kids younger than me were still authentic, just being themselves, they hadn't bought into being a fake teen. I responded to their authenticity, their happiness, their realness. I could always smell a fake from a mile away. I still don't tolerate inauthenticity very well and avoid such people. Maybe your DD is the same.

My dd was like that at 14 and was full on teen by 16. Don’t rush it.

Are people actually believing that a post saying a 14 year old still enjoys riding in the grocery cart is real?

If she's responsible, sounds like she'd be a great mother's helper or baby sitter!

This is good, shes not growing up to fast.

Sounds like a dream come true!

OP is your daughter in school performing at grade level? Or is she SN?

What does op want dd to be doing? Not wanting to go outside, holed up in her room on screens or worse. She wants to be a kid, this is good, not concerning at all

False dichotomy.

Aside from riding in the grocery cart, these all sound like wonderful, totally fine, age-appropriate activities.
I have a 13 year old who spends countless hours riding her bike around the neighborhood. We're fortunate that she has several friends in her grade who do that as well, but I'm sure she'd be happy to do it with some 6th graders if that was the only option.
Board games, puzzles, jewelrey making - none of that is age-constrained activities.
Relax OP and enjoy the child you've got.

OP your daughter is winning at life.

She plays outside with neighborhood kids who are around 3 to 10 years old, rides bikes and scooters with them, and loves going to the trampoline park, the fair, or other places to play. She even finds fun in things like riding in the shopping cart at the store. She also enjoys bracelet-making kits, board games, puzzles, and outdoor games. At home, she likes spending time with family, and she’ll sometimes randomly sit on my lap, which feels like something a much younger child would do.

Socially, she does have a few regular teen interests, like some music and hanging out with friends, but she’s not very interested in typical teen activities like going to the mall or attending parties. When we go to events, she tends to hang out with younger kids rather than teens or adults. When it comes to movies or shows, she usually doesn’t care much about them, but if she does watch something, it’s often whatever her younger siblings are watching—shows more suited to younger kids rather than the typical teen dramas or comedies.

She’s a good kid, gets along fine socially, and isn’t completely immature, but I’m starting to wonder if this is just a typical phase or something I should be concerned about. Has anyone else experienced this with their teen? Should I be worried about her immaturity, or is this just a phase?

I thought you were describing a 24 year old son when you got to the rides bikes, scooters and in shopping carts part.
