So the have a gentleman’s agreement

tbh most coaches don't particularly care for each other. they're in different organizations/parts of the county and enough shenanigans go on during the season that they're not necessarily inclined to jock each other's players. more frequent is everybody not voting for some jerk coach's kid...

these awards are completely meaningless - nearly all coaches kids

this should not be allowed.

I understand why 2 towns with 2 teams don’t have one in D1.

We saw the D1 championship game last week for girls. Teams were amazing. Then you look at Gainsville that had 2 teams in D2, neither of those teams could compete in D1.

We only had about 60% of the all-star winners show up at the award ceremony! Shocked that these parents/players did not even care. What is the point of MVC even - he was missing too!

For many, it's a long drive to a short ceremony if your kid's team isn't playing in the championship game.

It looked pretty bad when they started calling names and half the players weren’t even there. The event was at Edison High School, and the ones missing were from Arlington and BRYC — which is funny because they're actually closer than some of the kids who showed up from way farther out

Our kid was selected one year but the coach never mentioned anything to us about it. Only found out because someone sent a congratulations note and we had no idea what it was about.
