DP here. I use some decent anxiety/moodiness as well but so far I have made the same choice. I just worry too much about the side effects. I have 3 more years until youngest is in college. I am going to reevaluate then when I don’t have daily responsibility for other people.

Good god, Wellbutrin is horrible. One of the worst SSRIs to get off of due to discontinuation syndrome. It took me a year of weaning down my dose to stop, and the brain zaps, dizziness, etc. were the absolute worst. Don’t do Wellbutrin OP. Also - I lost my sex drive due to SSRIs. I was on them for years, and honestly, it never came back fully. This is a real thing, and now being recognized.

how old are you and how long you have been on SSRIs? any weight issues?

Wellbutrin is not an SSRI or even an SNRI. It’s an NDRI (norepinephrine/dopamine).

I’m sorry it was so horrible for you. A lot of people, myself included, have real benefits from it, including improved mood and weight loss.
