Your decline does not mean they take someone from the waitlist.

Thanks for sharing! As I noted on another thread, it is interesting to learn why people turn down one school for another. Everyone has different priorities. Also nice to hear when schools are gracious and understanding.

This is correct and something people always look past. It takes a lot of declines before they have to go to a wait list.
