A lot of schools do but not all.

Why do they do this? Why can't they wait until Monday?

DC was accepted into 4 out of 6 schools last year. 1 arrived on Thursday and 3 arrived on Friday. The schools time it with decision day, not the following Monday. They have it down to a science.

If one arrived on Thursday, it isn't science as it isn't the decision day. Only stress out those that didn't get in.

We can only hope the elite education will teach them the proper spelling of “shoo-in.”

I meant for the latter 3. I’m convinced the school with the Thursday package arrival did that strategically as they aren’t a “top” school. It worked. We started imagining DC there…until the 3 stronger school acceptances arrived on Friday.

What were the 3 “stronger” schools?

You seem confused. Or poorly educated.

It’s actually shoe in, as in “one shoe in the door”. Common mistake, I understand your confusion.
