Texas A&M

My daughter graduated from A&M during the COVID pandemic. There was a federal hiring freeze, but despite that, the A&M alumni network got her exactly the federal job she wanted. And she was from a very northern state. Despite considerable good-natured kidding about being a Yankee, they could not have been more courteous & welcoming.

MAGA central. Avoid.

A female can be an animal. When talking about people, use men and women.

The whole military vibe there is really creepy. It is like pretend military. I imagine A&M alums being involved in ICE.

It feels like people who want to be in the military and either weren't smart enough to get into an academy or didn't want to leave beloved MAGA Texas so are going to A&M and playing GI Joe.

Kind of like The Citadel. Very cultish. Hard pass.

I would not go there for undergrad if from east of the Mississippi and/or north of the Mason-Dixon line.

You people are nuts. Texas A&M graduate here and the student body is middle of the road if you exclude the corp, which is less than 5% of the school. Some of the top political layer of the administration currently are a little nuts politically but that isn’t felt at the student level. It’s a nice school and severely underrated on the east coast especially for engineering, business, and STEM areas. Hard for me to imagine preferring VT over A&M.

So why do they get to be men, and she has to be a "female," not a woman? Is this a place where men refer to women as females?

I don't understand either one of your questions. Women are females and females are women. If you're asking if TAMU is a place that by and large believes in two genders, the answer is yes.

+1
The PP is just desperate to pick a fight. Good for you for rising above.

I prefer VT over A&M. Agree with the rest of your post.
