I vote for this as the most useful resource around:

Not only the camps page, but also the clinics and the others.

Is there anything specifically in June/August? Me and DD usually travel in July, but DD still wants to improve a lot over summer to make a top 50% club. (Not OP but I have DD same age).

I feel like July is the busiest month for club volleyball activities. Some activities may start in June and run their course through July and the beginning of August. The beginning of August is tough in Montgomery County because the MCPS gyms get renovated and are not available for rent (not sure if that's the situation in other counties). Some of the clubs in the area rely heavily on these gyms. If July is off the table for you, your best chance to get some good training is to make the high school team. You cannot beat that in terms of intensity, frequency (daily), nor cost (free). There might be a luck factor as well: some high schools have better coaches than others.

What do you have in mind as your top 50% club? The advice may depend on club, but most people would tell you to participate in activities (camps, clinics, leagues) organized by the clubs you are interested in. That advice did not work for us so far and we are back to our old club year after year after year. We kinda gave up the hope that things might change in the future.
