| Honestly i feel like some parents want more information so they can publicly and privately shame other parents in the community. |
Assistant Principal at Blake |
So why should we trust these guys? |
"These guys"? The old Principal left already. The protocol for dealing with medical info is known, practiced, and has not changed for years at BCC - and has never led to any issues whatsoever. You're conflating different issues, and frankly you're trolling with this particular question. |
Haha. You seem pretty defensive… |
Right, but give me examples of what the school could communicate in this case that would both protect the students privacy and not leaving you wondering if it was a fight? |
Well, exactly. They say it’s a medical emergency. But the PPs want more detail. Why? The nature of the medical emergency is no one’s business. If there is a danger to students, the school can communicate that separately. There are actual laws here. |

These are minors people
You don't have any rights here. MYOB |
| Why do you need to know that it was Timmy who had an asthma attack, or if it was Jimmy who fell down the stairs and broke his arm, or Patty who took an edible and felt like she was going to die? How does any of that affect you at all? |
This. The fact is that MCPS middle and high schools have medical emergencies fairly often, because they have high populations. If you want to talk about teen substance abuse, violence, or about the breakdown of trust between parents and school officials, you can talk about it. You don't need to speculate about ambulances to do so. |
Right! You don’t need to speculate just because MCPS chooses to gaslight and deceive. Just trust them…. |
+1 I get emails about medical emergencies 1-2x a week from my kid's MCPS school. MYOB OP. These are big schools with thousands of students. Stuff happens. |
5 police cars plus 2 ambulances were outside school students said |
But what happened to Larla, Larlo and Karla? |
