The time for saving parking spaces is over

Fine. Then go park someplace it’s melted. It’s enough. But you touch my folding chairs and your car is getting keyed!

YOU ARE BAT-CHIT CRAZY and are willing to commit a serious property crime over over 3 weeks old snow in a spot YOU NEVER OWNED.

GET YOURSELF SOME HELP. YOU'RE MENTAL.

PP is the same person who refused to go back to normal 3 years after covid.

The storm was 3 week ago. They refuse to move on.

My sidewalk is in deep shade and still has 3 foot mounds. I have a narrow driveway and cannot fit two cars without one jutting into the sidewalk. I have one streetside parking spot cleared. Came home two days in a row day find the neighbor’s nanny parking there so she could leave her employee’s driveway clear. I had to let them know and was met with grumpiness but now I see them clearing out a spot.

It's weird that you would "let them know" - it's street parking. You don't own it. If they were parked there for a week, ok I'd get it. But a day? Dude...

Agree. The folding chairs need to go.

You're not very bright are you? Maybe someone is going to key your car because you're crazy and have been blocking spots for almost a month. The spot doesn't have your name on it.

Time for neighbors to end this nonsense today. Move said items. Confront these morons.

I agree.

Admittedly, I'd be too worried to park in one of those spots. But I'm not shy about moving the chairs when I see them on foot.

How many have you moved?

You have the parking space on your driveway. The other car is surplus if it doesn’t fit. Street parking is public parking. Anyone can use any space. Welcome to life

Maybe connect with the neighbors to problem solve the shady mounds?

Seems a resident who cleared the space has priority over the family that didn’t clear a space and forces their nanny to park in street while keeping their driveway cleared and empty.

Comedy gold.

I'm in DC a few times a week and was there all day yesterday. It's amazing how many cars have not moved since the snow storm and are surrounded by snow and ice. I drive my 4WD truck when I have to go to DC just so I can park on un-shoveled mounds of snow. I don't know where I would have parked these past few weeks if I drove my car. I don't blame anyone for calling dibs on the spot they shoveled out in front of their house. But, I also see your point. There has to be a limit. Hopefully it melts enough this weekend for this to be over with. Until next time.

I moved my neighbor's stool. Not to park there, but because it's so obnoxious at this point. And littering the street.
