Do you really notice people’s shoes?

I notice very good or very bad and old dress flat sounds pretty bad. You say you lost a lot of weight. Presumably you got a new great dress? I think you should have shoes that honor it and do your hard work justice. That's if you care but I know I feel better when I look good.

I’m considering just wearing my old, tired dress flats. So boring. But I will be sitting the majority of the time, and you don’t see feet on the dance floor anyway, right?

Your question makes me realize I that I am always looking at shoes in a city especially on the subway or when people are walking towards me. Other than that, I really don’t notice!

I always notice shoes. But I like shoes.

Only if they are gorgeous or hideous. Everything in between blends together for me.

I always notice people's shoes. Shoes should not be an afterthought, especially at a wedding. The shoes make the outfit.

I look at people’s shoes because I hate all my shoes right now and am looking for inspiration. Yours probably wouldn’t register. And that’s fine, right? We don’t know each other and even if we did, if I were the type to be judgmental about your shoes you probably wouldn’t want to be friends with me anyway

Your shoes are fine, OP. Don’t overthink it.

Nope. No one will notice and anyone with enough taste/style who does, will have enough class not to say anything

Love this reference. 🩷

I won't say anything but yes, I will notice if your outfit is not typical for the situation, if your shoes are extremely worn or do not match your outfit, and I notice your skin/hair/jewlery.

And yes, OP did ask. If she felt confident in her look she would not have posted a question.

I notice shoes but if they are 3-4 inch I think just why, flats I think you have some issue.

Just get some normal 2” heals at DSW.
