Why can’t they schedule school-walk-outs for after classes have concluded?

Then instead of a walkout why don’t they schedule a protest and host it after school?
I don’t care about college aged kids- they can walk out all they want. I do not want my HS student involved in a walkout at school.

- and I have taken DC to protests

No, for lazy kids not getting an education is the point. Kids have always looked for a reason to skip school.

Then tell your kid they can’t attend, and stop trying to control how other people protest.

They can “walk out” at their part time job then- and see how it goes.

As a minor at school, you shouldn’t get to be disruptive to the school day.

You do realize by your reasoning the coloreds would still be…
Nevermind good luck.

School isn't deporting kids, and schools don't need kids. School is a gift for students.

It's slacktivism, a way to cut class.

An afterschool protest that sacrificed their personal fun-time is more meaningful than cutting class to hang out.

Immigrants need education to improve SES.

But after school might conflict with the student's free time or sports. Can't have that, missing out on education is the point. It's kind of like when I volunteered to donate blood at the blood drive specifically during math class in high school.

I'm so proud of these young kids protesting at any time of day. It was young people, in part, who made the civil rights movement possible and it just might be them again making our current situation change. ICE OUT.

What if they wanted to wave flags and cheer Pres Trump?

That would be called a strike, and strikes have been very effective over the years.

In Chicago, thousands of high school and college kids walked out of school at the same time, and then continued to protest downtown after school hours.

Yes, how dare we deport illegal aliens!!
