| It’s funny, Moir and Virtue ushered in this bodice ripping era where every ice dance couple were doing these numbers full of angst and longing. Meanwhile, Chock and Bates were doing these weird alien and snake charming dances. You never would have known that they were the only couple that was dating in real life. I’ve thought they’ve mostly kept their romance separate from their art. |
OK but the alien and snake charmer programs were actually brilliant!!! You forget the Shibutanis of course were not romantic; they were bringing wholesome, fraternal Coldplay routines |
I know its a bit of a weird position but OMG it's amazing to see Virtue launch herself in air like that |
| I hope they finally win an individual Olympic medal and then go have babies and live happily ever after. |
| You’re a sick piece of he of shit OP |
| As an infrequent watcher of ice dancing, I find it more weird when the pair are siblings and they do a love song. |
|
I am also creeped out by the sibling pairs...
But Madison Chock and Evan Bates are so cute together, they don't really emphasize their romance on the ice. They looked so pissed about getting the silver as they had thought it was theirs but to be honest, the French pair had a more beautiful and moving program. |
It seems a majority of the judges did not agree, scoring Chock and Bates higher. Of course when the French judge scored the French team 8 points higher than the Americans ( an anomaly compared to the other judges) people are going to wonder But this is ice dancing. Of course there is controversy!
|
| I thought C and B had a gold worthy dance but thought the French one was much more fluid and beautiful |
What does this mean? |
| I think it’s awesome that they are married. They are in such tight configurations and he’s always looking out for her. Being married seems most natural for this close positioning. |
If this means he seems gay, I totally disagree. If you watch Glitter and Gold, he’s hopelessly devoted to her. |
+1 “Fluid” is a great way to describe it |
Makes sense since they skated to "The Whale."
