Trump only invited Republican governors. |
| It was supposed to be an NGA event, like every president and year before. |
| All governors of both parties should refuse to attend if two are not invited |
You got it, genius. |
So, Trump’s event should be named the Republican Governors Association (RGA) dinner, not the National Governors Association dinner. |
You do get that he’s a white (Christian) nationalist, right? In his mind, the invite list IS “National” — or at least the “National” that he’s trying to build. |
| Of the seven swing states that put him in the White House in 2024, five have Democratic governors. How does he feel about them? |
|
Wes Moore is being excluded from a bipartisan NGA dinner for governors and spouses, along with Gov. Jared Polis of Colorado. I’m wondering why exclude these two but not Newsom.
https://www.nytimes.com/2026/02/06/us/politics/trump-republican-governors-white-house.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share The meeting … will only include Republican governors. Mr. Trump is still planning to hold a separate, bipartisan dinner for governors and their spouses at the White House as part of the N.G.A. activities, but he personally blocked invites for two Democrats: Gov. Wes Moore of Maryland and Gov. Jared Polis of Colorado. |
| What was the fake reason given? Is Gavin Newsom invited? |
“Only Republicans” is problematic too. WTF is wrong with you?! MAGA is so unAmerican, such garbage. |
| Be Best |
| And no doubt he will slavishly praise his dear leader and parrot some fake reason. |
Sorry...I was thinking of Tim Scott. 🤦♀️ Time for bed. |
|
I’m really sick of people not showing solidarity.
Correct - nobody should go. Everyone should walk out of the press conference when Trump verbally attacks women. Colleges should band together. Law firms should band together. It will be a travesty if anyone shows up. We need to stop normalizing bully behavior. |
