| Peacock was great for the Paris summer Olympics. They have every single event covered live and in full. What is great about this is that NBC only sends a handful of hosts / commentators for the main events. If your into some of the lesser popular events where an American athlete may not be in line for the gold, NBC will broadcast the ‘world feed’ meaning you get coverage of the event without any American bias. The commentators here are usually European and former athletes in those events. You can either watch these events live in full or on catch up and speed through the parts you don’t want. Also, no commercials if you go for the premium plan. |
| OP here. I went ahead and subscribed, thanks. So besides Olympics, what do I need to watch on Peacock? |
|
I got Peacock for the Summer Olympics (they had a $20 for a year deal), and I kept it in part because they do carry some smaller Olympic-type sports year round. I like being able to watch all the sports, no matter the round or the team. I don't want to wait until 8 pm for "highlights".
Right now it is the home of my favorite trash tv, The Traitors. I like the UK version the best. |
There’s a new show called PONIES which is cute. It stars Emilia Clark from Game of Thrones and Haley Lu Richardson, who was on the White Lotus. You can binge the season which has like 9 episodes are something and I think all are out. My kids also love Abbot Elementary which should be on there. |
| Pokerface is very fun too |
| I like being able to choose what I want to watch on peacock but we don’t have commercial free peacock and they play 2 minutes of commercials every five minute it seems. Ugh |
Highly recommend The Traitors. It’s the best reality / game show on tv at the moment. |
Same unfortunately. Peacock Plus. I love the Olympics and it's not like what you could rewatch for free on network TV 20 years ago when it would be on all day. It's locked down now for $$ access. Even with peacock I still feel like there isn't full access to everything that happened during the day, when I pull it up in the evening, and you can't fast forward like with other streaming? I just got it so maybe I'm not using it right. |
Abbott isn't NBC/Peacock. It's ABC/Hulu/Disney. |
|
For Olympics, I have Peacock but I also have Hulu to be able to DVR certain things.
Peacock has better coverage but the stuff expires fast for live events. You can fast forward if it was taped already. |
| We're paying for the month of Peacock Premium. We did for the summer olympics, too. |
| I believe the Superbowl will be on Peacock as well (I don't have cable). |
Superbowl will be broadcast on NBC, free with an antenna. |
+1 for Poker Face |
| I watched ice dancing on peacock last night and it was live. Did they really hold events at 2am local time??? |
