| Why? If you aren't using it, no need. |
Thats racist. |

I regularly leave my car parked on my street for weeks at a time. Come and get me OP.
|
| I don't get your issue. I am legally parked on the street in DC. It doesn't move that often and I have never gotten a ticket. Why would I get one now? |
There is a legal requirement in some jurisdictions to leave your car parked on the street, unmoved, for more than a few days. In Alexandria it's 72 hours. It's very, very easy to tell who hasn't moved their car in 72 hours. Easy way for parking enforcement to rake it in. In that first week after the storm, it was understandable. After 2 weeks? No, ticket them all. Move your car. Street parking is not for vehicle storage. |
Ok Barney Fife. |
Why do you think people deserve a ticket? Some people leave their cars parked in their same street spot for months. How is this different? |

I keep reading about people getting in fights over street parking in the Baltimore area. People are putting out lawn chairs after they leave to reserve their public street parking because they dug around their car and feel entitled.
All of this is just pathetic to me. I've driven through some of these areas and I see random open spots with snow all over the place where a car would normally park. What happened to having a sense of community? If everyone dug out a little more than the 2 foot perimeter around their car, the entire road side could have been completely cleared and nobody would need to fight over spots. You are going to say well some people won't do their share. So what! You are benefitting as long as even half the people are willing to dig more than just their own car. I would refuse to live in a community where there is nowhere to park because of snow. Im going to remove it with or without cooperation. Lead by example. And people suck. |
Are you worried about your battery? |
Interesting, please rank ethnic groups based on most likely to have dug their cars out vs paid someone vs having their cars still buried. |
