We used the small ones for trick-or-treating. They do have their uses.

My k ids use them for car snacks for road trips (which is anything over 20 minutes for them).

Co-workers bring their work lunch in them.

DD & her friends use them to carry their laptop and other sensor setting off items through security at her FCPS HS.

I read they go for a lot in some places on the second hand market. People horde them apparently. I have seen several at TJs near 25 + Penn NW (Foggy Bottom, West End area)

Agreed. It’s just a darn tote.

Seriously. Tell me your middle class without telling me your middle class.

I've given away one green handled and two Halloween ones, and this weekend will give away my old beatup blue handled tote. Somebody stop me.

Why are you giving them away if you love them so much?

My kid asked for the two Halloween minis (one for her, one for a friend in Canada) and one big green-handled one. No reason to say no to her.

I use my little one as a book bag. I bring it to drs appointments (I have a lot of them), kids sports. Was also a perfect pool bag on a recent vacation. Perfect size for book, sunblock, etc.

Called all the locations mentioned in this thread, none have it. Sad face.

They are good gifts for overseas visitors. Trader Joe's does not have any stores in Canada and Asia and the bags (and candy/snacks to try) are really popular there. Same with the UK--had some new employees visiting our office from London that were all 20 something females and super trendy and they had Trader Joe's as #1 on places to visit when they visited the USA.
