With WaPo’s demise, what other sources of DC metro news coverage?

DP. I subscribe to the WSJ, Post and NYTimes. (and Bloomberg!). If the Post doesn’t have decent local news then there is truly no reason for me to keep my subscription. The only thing I will miss is Capitol Weather Gang but I guess I will just follow Matthew Capucci’s socials.

I will always subscribe to the Washington Post no matter what. Democracies cannot function without newspapers. No one else cannot replace the Post. Yes, it's a dark time for the paper, but the Trump era will be over soon enough and I want the Post to still be here when he's gone.

The reason they cut back on local coverage is because people started canceling their subscriptions to protest Bezos. It's not like they don't want to cover local news. This was forced upon them by people thinking they're sticking it to Bezos.

It's hilarious that all these people are canceling their subscriptions to the Post to protest Bezos, but those same people would never ever cancel their subscription to Amazon. Bezos doesn't make a dime from the Post. It's been losing money for years.

I’m going to keep paying for the Post because eventually Trump will be gone and I want WaPo to be here and able to rebuild.

For MoCo news I read Bethesda Magazine and MoCo Show.

Politico and The Hill for Congressional politics.

I miss city paper. It’s a shadow of what it used to be.

+100 here too. Though now I subscribe to random things like Rolling Stone who actually has some very interesting news stories. NYT and WSJ. Sigh.

I'm amazed you still read it. Everyone I know stopped ten years ago when it became so political. It has killed itself. Too bad, it was once a great newspaper.
