What’s happening at Blair High Schook now?

The original message that said classes were continuing was an error; they sent out a corrected message that the school is evacuated. They just sent another update saying the search of the building is still going on and they remain evacuated.

Did anyone get a text about this from Blair, or only an e-mail? My kid didn't let me know, so my husband and I just found out an hour after it all began when he checked his home e-mail (I rarely do that at work).

Blair has been sending updates almost every 15 minutes; I have been getting them by email, text, and ParentSquare (the new Remind).

I have only been getting the emails, not text or ParentSquare.

Now they're bussing them to Eastern for warmth? Wish they would just release kids who are able to leave of their own accord. Mine could walk home, many others could do the same or drive home. Eastern will be jam-packed!

I appreciate that they are doing what’s best for the school as a whole and not for your individual kid. Imagine the additional chaos this would add if they were like anyone can leave if they’re able. You’d have parents pulling up in cars, kids walking off campus all over the place. Significantly easier and safer to have everyone sit tight and focus their attention on keeping the entire community safe.

What does this even mean - how is it Taylor's fault?

I'll always remember the time BCC had a bomb threat and they decided on a lockdown...

Sigh.

It's sarcastic. People love to dump on the Super for all issues.

Yup!

Although, TBH, based on what my kid says, there's no new learning going on this week anyway, since teachers are refusing to dive into new material since there's higher than normal absences.
